Oranges have been my favorite lately. The sweetness and sourness is just perfect for me. I bought some oranges recently and then was given some extra ones so I had an orange overload. I did not want them to go bad, so I decided to use them when the opportunity arose. I was making some lunch for some friends and I realized I didn't have anything for them to drink. Then I remembered the oranges and voila! Problem solved! This is very easy if you have juicer . I did not so I really had to put my back into it lol! Ok, so I wouldn't say this is a recipe because I experimented on this one. there is no set way of doing it. You have to do it based on your taste.
You need:
5 oranges
750ml boiling water
2 tablespoons of sugar (or honey)
Icecubes
Method
1) Peel all the oranges and put the skin into a big bowl or container
2) Pour the boiling water into the container or bowl with the skins
3) Cut the oranges into half and squeeze all the juice out of the oranges. Use a juicer if you have one. Add the empty orange halves to the water with the skins.
4) Leave the skins and orange halves in the hot water until the water cools down. Then
remove the skins and halves. Add sugar or honey to the water. Add enough to make
sweet according to your taste.
5) Add the water to the orange juice and mix well.
6) Pour the drink into a jug and place in the fridge to cool.
7) Serve with ice and orange slices on the glass
